Lady's Bluff
TVA Small Wild Area
Lady’s Bluff Small Wild Area offers views of unique gnarled old cedars, limestone outcrops and sinkholes as well as spectacular views of the Tennessee River and the Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge's Busseltown Unit on the opposite shore. If you are a wildflower hunter, this is a great place to be in the spring. You'll find shooting star, jack-in-the-pulpit, trout lily, wild ginger and more from mid-April through early May. By mid-October, the wildlife refuge becomes a landing strip for thousands of migrating ducks and geese making their annual visit, so be sure to bring your binoculars.
The trail follows along a gentle to moderately steep grade as it winds through the forest to an overlook. There are some opportunities to scramble up rock ledges and stone steps, and footbridges span two stream crossings.
Amenities include parking, hiking, backcountry camping, and hunting.
